TECHNIQUES OF PHYSICAL SELF DEFENCE
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, the students will be able to:
1. understand the Basics of Fighting.
2. understand how to Escape from a Wrist Grab, Shoulder Grab, Bear Hug and Head Lock.
3. understand how to use a Front Kick and Various Types of Strikes.
4. to use and apply a Defensive Posture and all of the above Escape Methods.

LEARNING TO FIGHT BACK
The techniques covered in Lesson 10 combine Martial Art Skills and some basic street fighting techniques. These techniques will enable you to incapacitate an attacker quickly and escape.
Unlike most Martial Arts training, these are relatively simple skills that can be learned in a short time.
Once learned, however, they must be practised regularly until they become second nature (a conditioned reflex action).
Fighting back effectively is a learned and trained response.
I would like you to return to Lesson 7, What is a Reflex and Reflex Action/Reaction Time. Please re-read the pages and refresh your memory.
